Licensed Practical Nurse or Medical Assistant: Monday–Thursday, 20-32 hours per week
Location: In-office only
We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Licensed Practical Nurse or Medical Assistant: to join our growing wellness team. This role is ideal for a nurse with a strong clinical background, excellent interpersonal skills, and a passion for integrative and functional medicine.
The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience administering intravenous (IV) infusions, along with a commitment to providing high-quality, patient-centered care. This part-time position has the potential to transition into a full-time role as our practice expands.
Key Responsibilities
- Welcome patients and provide education on infusion therapies, including potential side effects and what to expect.
- Review and interpret provider notes; explain treatment recommendations clearly and accurately to patients.
- Mix infusions
- Monitor patients for adverse reactions or complications during and after treatment.
- Perform thorough patient assessments, including vital signs, medication reconciliation, and medical history.
- Manage patient prescriptions through fax and e-scribe methods.
- Respond promptly and professionally to patient inquiries via phone, email, or text.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and OSHA safety standards.
- Collaborate with providers and administrative staff to support comprehensive patient care.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience.
- Skilled in core clinical procedures.
- Experience working with diverse patient populations.
- Background in a medical office, hospital, or emergency medicine setting.
- Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook/Teams).
- Strong technical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Solid knowledge of medical terminology and pharmacology related to infusion therapy.
- Reliable availability for scheduled shifts.
- A genuine interest in functional and integrative medicine. Prior experience in this field is preferred.
