Job Summary
Knox Manufacturing Solutions is looking for a part time accountant to manage all financial duties for our company. Knox Machinery sells CNC machines and parts as well as dispatches service engineers to work on CNC machine tools in the south and west part of Ohio and northern Kentucky. The accountant will be responsible for the financial strategy of the organization with a focus on month end close, KPI's, budgeting, and forecasting.
Responsibilities and Duties
The accountant will handle the overall financial accounting for Knox Machinery. You will be responsible for further developing and controlling the financial process for the company. The monthly close and financial reporting will be expected to be completed in a timely manner and be accurate. You will also be responsible for developing KPI's, managing the budgeting process, and providing forecast. You will also be responsible for payroll and administering 401K benefits.
Essential Duties:
- Responsible for communicating and managing all accounting and finances for Knox.
- Review all payroll hours, process payroll, and enter JE into QB’s twice a month
- Ensuring all transactions are properly being recorded to the proper job daily
- Processing billing for new and used machine, service, and parts billing daily
- Managing the credit cards and ensuring all transactions are accounted for
- Managing inventory
- Managing the employee benefits from an accounting standpoint
- Setting up new hires in Paycor.
- Prepare analysis reports when requested.
- Provide analysis and verifies accuracy of data is correct in all accounts.
- Prepare financial statements
- Develop, implements and maintain – accounting systems, accounting procedures, and internal controls to safeguard assets.
- Manage collection process on all Accounts Receivable billings
- Ensure timely and accurate billing to our customers
- Primarily responsible for the banking relationship for the organization including debt and debt covenant
- Participate in weekly meetings
Qualifications and Skills
- Minimum of 5 years experience and a CPA or masters degree in accounting.
- Experience with Netsuite software or an equivalent.
- Importing payroll from Paycor to accounting software.
- Microsoft Office
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $60.00 - $80.00 per hour
Expected hours: 15 – 25 per week
