Responsibilities
- Diagnose, repair, and perform preventative maintenance on:
- Heavy construction equipment (excavators, dozers, loaders, graders, etc.)
- Semi-trucks and trailers
- Pickup trucks and service vehicles
- Small engines and compact equipment
- Troubleshoot hydraulic, electrical, diesel engine, and mechanical systems.
- Schedule and prioritize equipment maintenance to minimize downtime.
- Maintain accurate service records and parts inventory.
- Ensure all repairs are completed safely and meet company standards.
- Mentor and assist other shop personnel as needed.
Qualifications
- 5 years of heavy equipment mechanic experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, electrical systems, and diagnostics.
- Experience working on construction equipment and Class 8 trucks.
- Ability to work independently and manage daily shop operations.
- Valid driver's license (CDL is a plus).
- Welding and fabrication experience is a plus.
