Duties
Assist with the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of electrical systems on construction sites and industrial facilities. Support senior electricians by preparing work areas, handling hand tools and power tools safely, and organizing materials. Learn to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to understand project requirements. Participate in wiring projects involving low voltage and high voltage systems, adhering to NEC (National Electrical Code) standards. Use testing equipment such as ohmmeters to diagnose electrical issues accurately. Help with framing carpentry tasks related to electrical installations and conduit supports. Contribute to safety inspections and ensure compliance with all safety protocols on-site.
Qualifications
Must have some experience or familiarity with electrical work, including industrial or commercial electrician experience preferred. Hands-on experience with hand tools, power tools, and construction site procedures is highly desirable. Basic understanding of blueprint reading, schematics, and electrical diagrams. Knowledge of low voltage and high voltage systems along with NEC standards is a plus. Familiarity with using testing devices such as ohmmeters for troubleshooting electrical circuits. Experience with construction or framing carpentry is beneficial but not required. Strong willingness to learn, excellent attention to detail, and a proactive attitude towards safety are essential.
