Job Summary
The Executive Liaison serves as the primary point of contact for the Office of the Superintendent, coordinating effective and timely communication flow for internal and external stakeholders. This position is responsible for managing and responding to executive-level communication, generating high-quality written and digital materials, and coordinating alignment in a cross-functional setting.
Responsibilities
- Reports to the Assistant Superintendent of Impact & Policy.
- Coordinate and manage communication flow for the Superintendent's Office.
- Monitor and respond to email inquiries or requests on behalf of the Superintendent's Office.
- Compose and prepare correspondence from the Superintendent's Office.
- Collaborate with the Senior Leadership Team to facilitate weekly and timely updates to the Board of Education.
- Monitor and manage regional communication, ensuring the Senior Leadership Team is briefed on urgent and emergent situations and the necessary support is provided.
- Generate high-quality collateral for the Superintendent's Office, including presentations, memos, and reports.
- Manage communication platforms to produce, review, and vet executive-level updates for district and school leaders.
- Coordinate workflows and systems for the Superintendent's Office and, when relevant, the Senior Leadership Team.
- Produce daily and weekly task management reports to facilitate timely execution of high-impact projects and objectives.
- Collaborate with the Senior Leadership Team to generate agendas for Senior and District Leadership Team meetings; attend meetings and take notes to generate timely reminders for action items and next steps.
- Perform other duties as assigned, including managing sensitive issues, ensuring continuity in communication in a rapidly changing environment, and assisting with special projects.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required, Master's degree preferred, in communications, public administration, education, or other related field.
- Required 3 years of experience in communications, project management, or executive support.
- Exceptional writing, editing, and communication skills.
- Preferred experience in education, government, or large organizational systems.
- Ability to manage confidential and sensitive information.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to liaise effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Must be proficient in Microsoft and Google Suites. Proficiency in programs such as Canva and Sharepoint are preferred but not required.
- Must be willing to be on-call for specific situations, such as scheduling or coordinating inclement weather meetings or other incident/crisis communication.
