The Knox County Health Department is seeking a Public Health RN or Nutritionist to work in our Family Health Program.
· The Knox County Health Department is seeking Public Health RN or Nutritionist to work in our Family Health Program.
· Under general supervision, performs professional work by promoting and presenting public health nutrition programs.
· Provide nutritional assessment, education and counseling to individuals and groups, primarily prenatal and pediatric clinics, with emphasis on participants in the WIC Supplemental Food Program.
· Work will predominantly consist of the WIC program, with potential for some Family Case Management, and various other services.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Certification of graduation from an accredited school of nursing and an Illinois license as a Registered Professional Nurse
OR
- Registered Dietitian or certification of graduation from an accredited school with a baccalaureate or master’s degree in dietetics, nutrition, public health nutrition, or related field.
Benefits:
- $27.78 hourly
- Monday to Friday, no weekends!
- Enjoy 14 holidays per year. (Paid for Full-Time employees)
