Purpose of Job
The purpose of the position is to manage the air quality management permitting, enforcement, and compliance monitoring activities.
Essential Functions
· Supervises, directs, and evaluates assigned staff, handling employee concerns and problems, directing work, consulting, disciplining, and completing employee performance appraisals.
· Review data submitted by facilities in permit applications including the quality and quantity of emissions and determines applicable regulations
· Develop and review air quality management permits including Title V, “Prevention of Significant Deterioration/Nonattainment New Source Review” (PSD/NNSR), and synthetic minor permits
· Perform and review air quality modeling to inform regulatory development and facility permitting
Minimum Training & Qualifications
· Bachelor’s degree in engineering
· 3 years of related experience
· Visible Emission certification required within 1 year of hire.
