Position Summary
The Administrative Coordinator has primary responsibility to coordinate the development and maintenance of purchasing procedures, processes and status. Assists in development of grant funded projects.
Required Duties
The following are required duties of this position:
- Performs cost analysis to determine funding needs.
- Submits grant applications. Monitors status and generates reports of grant funding.
- Works closely with County Purchasing and County Finance, monitors purchasing activities.
- Resolves problems with purchasing activities.
- Other duties as assigned.
Education and Training Required
The following are the educational and/or training requirements for this position:
- Must be able to read and comprehend English language directives, training materials, and other documentation.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Training in Business or Finance preferred.
Experience Required
The following experience is required for this position:
- Minimum of 4 years experience in the department.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
The following non-physical knowledge, skills and abilities are required for this position:
- Knowledge of Sheriff’s department operating policies and procedures.
- Knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and procedures.
- Ability to critically evaluate information from a number of sources.
Physical Abilities
The following physical ability(s) is/are required for this position:
- Must be physically able to operate a variety of office equipment.
- Must maintain the ability to work any hours, and shift and any days off during your career.
