The Knox Community Health Center (KCHC) at the Knox County Health Department is
seeking an enthusiastic and customer-focused Patient Services Representative (PSR) to
join our team. As the first point of contact for our patients, you’ll play a vital role in
connecting individuals and families to quality healthcare services while helping ensure a
smooth and positive patient experience.

What You’ll Do
As a Patient Services Representative, you will:
Welcome patients and visitors with professionalism, warmth, and compassion
Schedule and coordinate patient appointments and help patients navigate their
healthcare journey
Verify insurance eligibility and benefits to ensure accurate patient registration and
billing
Collect and update demographic, financial, and insurance information with
precision
Assist patients with questions regarding appointments, insurance coverage, and
payment processes
Process patient payments and maintain accurate financial records
Manage incoming phone calls and direct patients to the appropriate services
Support providers and clinical staff through efficient scheduling and administrative
coordination
Always maintain confidentiality and HIPAA compliance
Contribute to a positive, team-oriented environment focused on excellent patient
care

What You Bring
High School Diploma or equivalent
Two years of customer service, medical office, insurance, billing, or healthcare
administrative experience preferred
Experience with:
o Insurance and eligibility checks
o Medical scheduling
o Patient registration
o Medical records or electronic health records
