A Specialist I, Medical Document Integrity is responsible for preparing and providing medical records and supporting documents for processing claims on behalf of Knowtion Health clients to recover the maximum reimbursement on hospital claims. This position is onsite in Boca Raton, FL

The Opportunity

  • Prints, reviews, packages and mails claim documents and medical records, with accuracy and integrity, ensuring HIPAA compliance
  • Faxes claim documents, with accuracy and integrity, ensuring HIPAA compliance
  • Opens and scans mail received, ensuring it is stored in the appropriate client/patient folder
  • Reviews correspondence containing patient information, identifies the correct patient account, scan documents to BOX and saves in the correct client/patient folder
  • Consequence to errors in judgment are critical (HIPAA violation fines and penalties, lost revenue for hospital client)

What You Bring

  • Adherence to HIPAA requirements
  • Attention to detail
  • Moderate computer proficiency including working knowledge of MS Excel, Word and Outlook
  • Some experience working with medical records is preferred.
  • Organization and documentation skills to ensure accurate record keeping
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize efficiently and accurately
  • Basic critical thinking skills; ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions
  • Ability to manage time effectively and meet minimum productivity thresholds with quality

This position is on-site and requires commuting to the company headquarters in Boca Raton, FL. We offer a competitive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short term disability, long term disability, paid holidays, 401k, and a generous PTO policy.

The compensation range for this position starts at $16.50/hour.
