Salary: Candidates should live within driving distance of the following areas: Wichita, KS; Lawton, OK; or Round Rock, TX.Job Purpose/SummaryThe Assistant Controller will be responsible for assisting in all aspects of the accounting and finance function including cash management, budgeting and forecasting, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and payroll. The Assistant Controller will also assist in any ad/hoc financial projects as needed.Duties and ResponsibilitiesPrimaryCash ManagementEnter cash activity on a daily or weekly basisComplete multiple bank reconciliations on a monthly basisAccounts ReceivableReconciliation of A/RProcessing of client invoicingReview and submit invoices to external third-party client platformsPayrollProcess bi-weekly payroll for the companyProcess expense report reimbursementsComplete labor related journal entriesNew employee onboardingAssist with payroll system conversion projectAccountingMonth-end close duties including: Cash, A/R, labor related account reconciliationCredit card account reconciliationProvide month-end reconciliation reporting to Controller and CFO on various balance sheet accountsSecondaryProvide project-related support and services as neededQualificationsBachelors degree in accounting or related field4 years of finance and accounting experienceThorough knowledge of US GAAPExperience in US government contracting preferredExperience using an ERP system such as Unanet or Costpoint preferredSuperb mathematical skillsProficient or better in Microsoft ExcelAbility to adapt and learn, create, and implement new processes and systemsExcellent problem-solving capabilitiesSuperior verbal and written communication skillsStrong attention to detailAbility to work independently in remote environment with little direct supervisionEligible to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance U.S. Citizenship required.Working conditionsShould be willing to work in a variety of settings as needed.
