Job Overview:
The Process Engineering Manager is key member of the Knowles Cornell Dubilier leadership team and is responsible for management of process engineering team. This is a position offering excellent professional and management career development in Knowles Cornell Dubilier. In this critical role, you will be working side-by-side with Production, Product Management, Planning, Supply chain, QA and R&D teams at Knowles Liberty and will be responsible for process development, optimization, introducing new assembly technology and equipment to ensure process that are stable, high yielding and cost effective.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Develop and manage a strong engineering team of 7 process engineers and technicians to improve process effectiveness, introduce new assembly technology/automation equipment, optimize process capability.
- Participate in cross-functional design reviews to ensure process capability and design for manufacturability are effectively considered during new process development or new product introduction.
- Create visibility to key metrics including project status, project funnel, process capability measures, SPC, etc.
- Define and maintain process control plans, PFMEAs, work instructions, and standard process procedure document to ensure process capability and stability.
- Lead team to achieve the financial objectives including yield target and scrap target which are assigned by plant manager.
- Evaluate, prioritize and justify capital expenditures to support process improvement projects.
- Develop and manage production qualification plans for new equipment and processes.
Qualifications & Skills:
- BS Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Materials, Industrial, or related).
- PMP certification preferred.
- 5 years progressive experience in Process Engineering, Product Engineering or Operations Management
- 10 Experience in electronics components manufacturing, capacitor or similar industry preferred
- Experience in project management
- Demonstrated experience deploying lean methodologies and process controls
- Experience using DOE, SPC, DOE, MSA/Gage R&R, PFMEA, Control Plans, and 8D problem solving.
- Experience with ITAR, APQP, AS9100, AS9145, APQP/PPAP, MIL STDs preferred
- Strong working knowledge of MS Suite including advance skills with Microsoft Excel
- Detail oriented and thorough
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Detail‑oriented, systems thinker with urgency for action and a focus on the customer.
