Job Overview

The Shipping and Receiving Clerk primary manages the shipment and receipt of all products, materials, and supplies from Domestic or International locations. Will be responsible for packaging and shipping products according to customer requirements to specified locations in a timely manner. It also includes receiving of incoming materials though receiving process and placement of received material in designated locations in the company. handling all aspects of shipping, inbound and outbound paperwork, packaging, arranging pick-ups and drop-offs.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Verifies and keeps records on incoming and outgoing shipments and prepares items for shipment.
• Compares identifying information and counts, weighs, or measures items of incoming and outgoing shipments to verify information against bills of lading, invoices, orders, or other records.
• Determines method of shipment.
• Affixes shipping labels on packed cartons or stencils.
• Assembles cardboard containers or selects preassembled containers.
• Inserts items into containers, using spacers, fillers, and protective padding.
• Posts weights and shipping charges, and affixes postage.
• Unpacks and records shortages, and corresponds with shipper to rectify damages and shortages.
• Routes items to departments.
• Examines outgoing shipments to ensure shipments meet specifications.
• Performs receiving, stocking, pallet consolidation.
• Examines outgoing shipments to ensure shipments meet specifications.
• Shipping and receiving process material order daily, including accepting deliveries, and labeling packages.
• Coordinate with shipper to deliver products to customer.
• Keep records all job order shipping out to vendors.
• Engages with vendors and drivers with a positive attitude.
• Follow and support all safety practices by wearing proper personal protective equipment (PPE), following all Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and complying with safety signs and placards, maintaining good housekeeping, communicating unsafe practices and conditions to your local or PD EHS teams, and reporting all safety incidents (including near misses) as they occur.

Qualifications & Skills

• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Sorting incoming and outgoing stock
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Strong attention to detail sense of time organization and urgency.
• Able to work independently and within a team.
• Effective oral and written communication.
• Knowledge of all customer method shipment.
• Self-motivated.
• 3 years of experience in a shipping and receiving role.
