Job Overview
The Production Planner and Expeditor will coordinate, communicate, and expedite the flow of products and materials to and from material suppliers, through internal fabrication, to meet scheduled ship delivery requirements and maintain company’s “On Time Delivery” goals.
Duties & Responsibilities
Minimum Education and/or Experience required:
Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management or business administration and 2 years of experience in manufacturing operations field. Duties & Responsibilities
- Assist in creating, monitoring, and analyzing production schedules.
- Assist in scheduling production areas based on monthly demand and departmental activities relating to material, employee, and equipment availability.
- Monitor production process, workflow, and schedules to ensure on-time delivery to subsequent production areas.
- Assist in resolving production, manpower, and material shortage problems quickly in an order of priority.
- Coordinate with production and purchasing to stock adequate materials to avoid shortages.
- Assist in generating daily/ weekly production reports to managers.
- Ensure WIP is flowing thru manufacturing per the planning schedule
- Ability to prioritize by generating production starts, making lot-size adjustments, addressing material shortages, changing work orders, etc., to meet delivery requirements and Key Performance Indicators (OTD-KPIs.)
- Review material-flow in-process schedules and completion status updates.
- Coordinate material needs with stock room and purchasing.
- Investigate kit vs BOM discrepancies.
- Confirm material supply/demand for the monthly plan.
- Review material requirements within BOMS for production assemblies.
- Ability to interface with all levels of production in resolving problems concerning shipments, shortages, engineering changes and traceability.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management or Business Administration, plus a minimum of 2 years experience in manufacturing planning operations field; or equivalent combination of education & experience.
- Proficient computer skills and knowledge of MS Suite and Microsoft Office/Excel.
- Experience with ERP systems (such as Oracle).
- Must be able to read, comprehend, write, and speak in English. Ability to read, comprehend, and follow work instructions and lot paperwork.
- Capability to perform mathematical tasks such as adding, subtracting, multiplication, division is required.
- Ability to multitask and work in a team environment as well as work independently.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Job flexibility: this position requires you to be flexible for overtime and/or weekend work as required; or the flexibility to work a different schedule when needed as directed by Management.
