The Lead Business Manager manages a team of Business Managers and works in partnership with the account and production teams to successfully administer and manage creative production processes in alignment with the requirements of clients and needs of the business. This role helps manage the commerciality of production projects and ensures adherence to standard operating procedures and financials. The Lead Business Manager further identifies project risks and communicates contingency plans to stakeholders, building project controls where necessary.
The Work
- Lead a team of Business Managers to accomplish all goals, duties, and responsibilities.
- Manage the timely setup and flow of multiple projects, from initial estimate to invoice/billing.
- Initiate production projects and jobs within MMS, Workbook and other internal Accenture systems as required from time-to-time
- Facilitate all project and contract approvals including third parties and freelancing.
- Manage job estimate calculations, internal and external approvals
- Create and load resource tasks on jobs for FTE, Borrowed Resources and Freelance, communicate relevant job numbers and WBS for time entry.
- Partner with Production Leads to enable freelance resources and supporting vendors including creating purchase orders, releasing invoices for payment, and onboarding
- Manage regulatory requirements for freelance resources (SAG, minor’s, animals, etc) including approved procurement process for each type, TeamPeople vs Supplier Hub
- Manage talent usage releases, details included in scope of jobs.projects and update usage docs in Workbook
- Process approvals for cash advances as needed.
- Facilitate Accenture internal and collaborative projects with Song Production Studios.
- Provide ongoing budget review, management and control against KPIs
- Complete job delivery, closure and client invoicing
- Business process advisory related to Workbook and studio/production teams
- At least 4 years experience in production project management/administration with budget oversight within a creative, production, marketing or advertising environment
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Advertising, Communications or related Arts/Creative program
- 1-2 years leading a team of producers or project managers
- Knowledge of production process for ecommerce, digital photography or video
- Excel proficiency for advanced functionality
- Preference given for PMP certification
- Comfortable working in a highly fluid project environment
- Strong communication skills (Verbal, written, in-person and remote), with proven relationship building experience at all levels of management across large organizations
