Position Summary
Knowledge Quest is seeking a dependable and safety-focused Bus Driver to transport students participating in the Extended Learning Academy. The driver will provide transportation between schools, Knowledge Quest locations, field trips, and other approved destinations.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely transport students according to assigned routes and schedules.
- Complete pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
- Conduct a bus walk-through after every route.
- Maintain transportation logs, mileage records, and student rosters.
- Keep the vehicle clean and report maintenance or safety concerns.
- Follow all Knowledge Quest transportation and emergency procedures.
- Assist with transportation for field trips, summer programs, and special events.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid Tennessee driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
- CDL with appropriate passenger or school bus endorsements, when required.
- Experience transporting children or youth is preferred.
- Must pass required background checks, drug screening, physical examination, and driving record review.
- Must be dependable, punctual, patient, and able to communicate effectively.
- CPR and First Aid certification preferred or willingness to obtain.
Physical Requirements
Must be able to operate a vehicle for extended periods, enter and exit the vehicle frequently, complete safety inspections,
