Job Description

Project/Program:

NYSITS supports many software applications written in support of DEC- Division of Remediation's critical tasks. Many applications are in need of dedicated support, which includes periodic database, O/S updates. For some of the applications, a series of Cold Fusion upgrades is currently underway to ensure that applications stay up to date and addresses security vulnerabilities that have been reported and make the adequate adjustment in code to the current version. Additionally, Spill Hotline Response Notification enhancement is underway and several additional enhancement requests are in need with the inclusion of new technologies like API Calls using Python. Day-to-day tasks include defect resolution and customer support for DER software applications.

Day-to-day Tasks

Day-to-day tasks may include but are not limited to:

• Manage, plan, design, and implement enhancements to the current DEC software application according with Agency projects and enhancements.
• Keep updated Cold Fusion Administration, configuration and coding updates for CF versions.
• Keep updated Crystal Report versions and provide support to reporting system used through DEC applications.
• Addresses critical vulnerabilities in DEC software applications making code changes and testing applications to verify that functionality has not been affected with the remediated vulnerabilities.
• Resolution of all ITSM tickets submitted by users because of software application issues or defects reported.
• Analysis and design of new features.
• Keep documentation updated on the existing system, new functionalities and new modules implemented in DEC software applications.
  
  

Mandatory Qualifications

Software Architect–

Makes high-level design choices and dictates technical standards, including software coding standards, tools, and platforms. Designs multi-leveled architecture or component interactions of a large scale software system.

Expert

84 months: Candidate is able to provide guidance to large teams and/or has extensive industry experience and is considered at the top of his/her field.

Requested Qualifications

• 84 Months of experience in Cold Fusion programming and proficiency on Cold Fusion version 2018 and above and Java Script programming.
• 84 Months of Experience in Cold Fusion Administration, Windows, Web servers, managing software and remediation of vulnerabilities in Cold Fusion 2018 and newer versions.
• 84 Months of experience programming stored procedures and using Microsoft SQL Server (Version 2016 and newer).
• 84 Months of experience developing SAP Crystal Reports and managing Crystal Reports Server administration for Crystal Report 2016 and newer.
• 60 Months of experience with Python (Version 3.9 and newer); Java SE 17 and newer.
• 60 Months of experience with security authentication using SAML/AD/ADFS.
