Role Description
This is a Part-time on-site role for a Transcription Specialist located in Washington DC. The Transcription Specialist will be responsible for accurately live transcription, as well as transcribing audio and video recordings, editing and proofreading transcripts, and maintaining confidentiality of all information. Role requires Security Clearance. The role requires managing multiple files simultaneously, meeting tight deadlines, and ensuring high-quality outputs that adhere to company standards. Additionally, compliance with security protocols and maintaining proper clearance is mandatory for this position.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in Transcription, with excellent listening and typing skills
- Strong Editing and Proofreading skills to ensure accuracy and adherence to formatting guidelines
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize workflows, and meet strict deadlines
- Familiarity with transcription software and audio processing tools
- Attention to detail and ability to maintain high levels of accuracy
- Experience working with classified or confidential information is required; active clearance is mandatory
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in a related field is preferred
- Demonstrated ability to follow security and confidentiality protocols
