Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and assist them with their shopping needs, including product demos and upselling opportunities
- Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems accurately to process sales, returns, and exchanges while handling cash, credit cards, and mobile payments with precision
- Maintain organized merchandising displays and stock shelves to ensure products are attractive and accessible
- Conduct stock replenishment and stocking activities to keep the sales floor well-stocked and inviting
- Provide excellent customer service by answering questions about products, store policies, and promotions using clear communication skills
- Demonstrate proficiency in phone etiquette when assisting customers via phone or online inquiries
- Support store operations through cashiering duties, basic math calculations for transactions, and ensuring accurate cash handling procedures are followed
Experience
- Previous retail sales or cashiering experience preferred but not required; enthusiasm for learning is key
- Supervising experience is a plus, especially in leading small teams or training new staff members
- Familiarity with POS systems and retail math enhances efficiency in daily tasks
- Bilingual abilities are highly valued to serve diverse customer needs effectively
- Experience in grocery stores or similar retail environments is advantageous but not mandatory
