Job Overview

In this vital role, you will coordinate funeral arrangements, assist grieving families, and ensure that every aspect of the funeral process is handled with dignity, professionalism, and care. Duties

• Coordinate and oversee funeral services from initial planning to final disposition, ensuring all arrangements meet families’ wishes and legal requirements
• Provide bereavement support by offering compassionate guidance and emotional reassurance to grieving families
• Assist families with selecting caskets, urns, and memorial products, while explaining options clearly and sensitively
• Manage event planning for funeral services, including scheduling, setup, and coordination with vendors and staff
• Perform heavy lifting when necessary to transport caskets, equipment, or memorial items safely and efficiently
• Conduct sales of funeral-related products and services, ensuring transparency and customer satisfaction
• Guide families through legal documentation processes such as death certificates and permits with clarity and professionalism

Requirements

• Proven experience in funeral directing or related event planning roles is highly desirable
• Strong knowledge of bereavement support techniques and compassionate communication skills
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining attention to detail
• Excellent organizational skills to coordinate multiple services simultaneously
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; ability to operate necessary vehicles if required
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed in this emotionally rewarding role
