Landscape Maintenance Crew Member – Knott’s Land Care
The Landscape Maintenance Crew Member plays an important role in delivering high‑quality landscape maintenance services to our customers. Crew Members work closely with the Crew Leader and team to ensure each property meets Knott’s Land Care standards for appearance, safety, and efficiency while developing skills in equipment operation, teamwork, and professional landscaping practices.
Schedule
- Monday–Friday: 6:30 AM – end of workday
- Saturdays & Sundays as needed
- Seasonal position with potential for full time
- Pre approved overtime available
- Start/end times may vary by season
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain a positive attitude though out the work day
- Execute tasks given by the crew leader
- Perform mowing, trimming, weeding, and blowing services
- Notify supervisor of equipment needing maintenance
- Learn and follow the company mission and expectations
- Learn proper use, placement, and storage of tools and equipment
- Learn and use company hand signals for communication
- Complete additional tasks as assigned
- Attend weekly training and safety meetings

Physical Requirements
- Walk at least 3 miles per day
- Lift and carry 50 lbs. for at least 100 feet
- Carry 23 lbs. on back for up to 2 hours
- Full use of arms, legs, hands, and feet
- Adequate corrected hearing and vision
- Able to work outdoors in heat and varying weather conditions
- Able to work indoors and outdoors for full shift hours
- Able to use and interpret job‑related tools and equipment
- Able to sit, stand, bend, stoop, twist, and climb hills/stairs for extended periods
- Must be able to fulfill all job duties
- Must not have pre-existing conditions preventing completion of physical requirements

Qualifications
- 1–2 years of landscape maintenance experience (training provided)
- Ability to operate commercial mowers, trimmers, and blowers
- Ability to use small engine and hand operated tools
- Ability to take direction and work well as part of a team
- Ability to communicate verbally in English
- Valid driver’s license with fewer than 4 points (or equivalent)
- Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions
