Job Summary
Knots Coffee Roasters at Queen Kapiolani Hotel is seeking a friendly, reliable, and detail-oriented Cashier to join our café team. The ideal candidate will welcome guests, take coffee and food orders, operate the POS system, process payments accurately, maintain a clean and organized service area, and support smooth daily café operations.

Key Responsibilities
- Welcome guests warmly and provide friendly, professional service
- Take coffee, beverage, and food orders accurately and efficiently
- Operate the POS system and enter orders correctly
- Process cash, card, and other payment transactions accurately
- Provide receipts and assist with payment-related questions
- Answer guests' questions about coffee, beverages, food, and menu options
- Coordinate with baristas and café team members to ensure accurate orders
- Check orders for accuracy before serving or handing them to guests
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming cashier and counter area
- Restock cups, lids, napkins, packaging, condiments, and other café supplies
- Assist with basic beverage and food preparation as needed
- Handle guest requests and concerns in a polite and professional manner
- Follow food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety procedures
- Assist with opening, closing, and other daily café duties
- Support team members during busy service periods
- Perform additional duties assigned by café management
Requirements
- Previous café, restaurant, cashier, retail, or hospitality experience is preferred but not required
- Friendly, professional, and guest-focused attitude
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Basic cash-handling and POS experience is a plus
- Good attention to detail and order accuracy
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced café environment
