Purpose: Rowan-Salisbury Schools is looking for candidates to support instruction and media center functions as outlined by the media specialist. This is an exciting opportunity for individuals interested in media and teaching, who are willing to learn and eager to provide support to teachers to ensure the success of integrating media center and maker space activities. Candidates will serve primarily as a technician for the media specialist, helping to manage circulation, instructional support and maker space usage. Employment: 10 months
Qualifications:
• 48 semester hours which include core courses with an overall 2.5 or higher GPA from an accredited institution; OR
• Associate Degree or higher with an overall 2.5 or higher GPA from an accredited institution; OR
• WorkKeys testing in Applied Math - (min score 4); Workplace Documents - (min score 4); and Business Writing - (min score 3).
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Serve primarily as a media technician and spend the majority of time working with students in the media center.
• Enforce school and media center rules and expectations consistently.
• Interacts effectively with students, teachers, administrators, co-workers, parents and community.
• Supports teacher’s use of media center resources and maker space activities as needed.
• Conducts self as a role model, exhibiting positive behavior.
• Work will consist of being assigned to work with a media specialist and will be utilized based on the needs of the school.
• Will comply with all administrative directives in a timely and professional manner, including written directives regarding specific issues or behaviors.
• Will exhibit punctuality and regular attendance.
• Demonstrates a strong work ethic.
• Maintains confidentiality.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the media specialist and/or principal in a timely and professional manner.

Salary : $16 - $20
