Fund Accounting Associate

Overview The team is part of a growing and innovative group at our client, who is a leader in the investment management industry. While fund administration is already a standard practice in the PE/Hedge industry, it is just taking off in the real estate industry. Through interaction with the clients’ executive management team and the IT department, the goal of this team is to provide superior fund administration services in an accurate and timely manner, while continually identifying ways to improve business processes. The team is very process-driven to ensure the highest quality in performance, while operating in an extremely dynamic environment. The team has high exposure to current issues affecting the real estate funds and investors. The team provides clients and their investors with annual and quarterly financial reports, management, acquisition and other fee calculations, investor capital notices, fund, investor, and investment return calculations. The person hired in this role will receive superior training and guidance, as their more senior colleagues have an in-depth knowledge of the various fund structures, investor LP agreements, financial reporting, investment make-up, and investor base of our clients’ real estate funds. Job Description • compile, analyze, report on performance investment data for global private equity and real estate funds and affiliated funds • prepare and analyze reports for senior management • assist in the preparation of annual and quarterly financials • assist in the preparation of pro-forma and budgeted financials • prepare specific reports and analyses at investor’s request • calculate management and acquisition fees • summarize investment contribution and investment distributions • report on foreign currency exchange and cash management transactions
