Faith-Based Investment Advisor position in Virginia for Series 65 IARs

Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Faith-Based Investment Advisor position for Series 65 Investment Adviser Representatives (IARs), based in Arlington VA. The advisor will provide values-based financial guidance, including developing personalized financial plans, recommending investment strategies aligned with clients’ faith-based preferences, and monitoring portfolios to support long-term goals. Day-to-day work includes meeting with clients, conducting financial assessments, explaining investment options in clear terms, and responding to client inquiries with timely, professional service. The advisor will prepare reports and documentation to support compliance requirements, collaborate with internal partners to address client needs, and participate in community and parish-focused outreach consistent with Knights of Columbus’ mission and ethical standards.

Qualifications

• Financial planning skills, including the ability to assess client needs and develop comprehensive, values-based financial plans.
• Investment and investment strategies expertise, with the ability to construct, analyze, and adjust portfolios consistent with faith-based principles.
• Strong finance knowledge, including understanding of markets, products, risk, and regulatory considerations relevant to advisory work.
• Customer service skills, with a commitment to building long-term client relationships through responsiveness, empathy, and clear communication.
• Active Series 65 registration (or equivalent) and eligibility to serve as an Investment Adviser Representative in Virginia.
• Ability to work effectively in an on-site, client-facing environment, including occasional evening or weekend meetings as needed.
• High ethical standards and alignment with Knights of Columbus’ mission and faith-based values.
• Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, economics, or a related field preferred; prior experience in financial advisory or planning is beneficial.
