About The Role
Knighted is looking for a Payroll Manager who will serve as a key payroll expert supporting our growing footprint across multiple states, ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant payroll operations for several entities. You’ll manage everything from bi-weekly processing and garnishments to leave accruals and tip reconciliations, all while maintaining the highest level of confidentiality and data integrity. We’re looking for someone who can partner closely with HR and Accounting to deliver precise reporting and uphold federal, state, and local compliance standards. You’ll bring your deep UKG experience, meticulous attention to detail, and a passion for supporting people through seamless payroll execution.

Responsibilities
- Prepare and process accurate bi-weekly and off-cycle payrolls for several entities.
- Collect and meticulously verify all necessary documentation, including timesheets, attendance records, and new hire information.
- Calculate and ensure the accurate distribution of wages, overtime, bonuses, tips, and deductions.
- Process and manage various employee garnishments, including child support, tax levies, and other court-ordered wage assignments.
- Maintain precise and up-to-date records of all leave accruals for both salaried and hourly employees.
- Perform tip reporting reconciliation against payroll records to guarantee accuracy.
- Ensure all data within the payroll system is accurate, current, and consistent.
- Maintain strict compliance with all federal, state, and local payroll, wage, and hour laws and best practices.
- Assist with the preparation of year-end reporting, including W-2s and 1099s.
- Handle all confidential and sensitive employee and payroll information with the highest level of discretion.
- Maintain and generate a variety of payroll reports for distribution and analysis by HR and Accounting, as well as for ad hoc requests.
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or a related field or relevant experience.5 years’ experience in payroll administration or a similar role.
- Advanced knowledge of the UKG payroll system and a strong understanding of other payroll software platforms (e.g., ADP, SAP, Workday, etc.).
- Demonstrated strong expertise in payroll tax setups, filings, and compliance at the federal, state, and local levels.
- Proficiency in payroll software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Experience in the entertainment and hospitality industries.
- Familiarity with benefits administration and 401(K) plan administration.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
