Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and inspiring Camp Director to lead our summer and track out camp programs, creating memorable experiences for children and fostering a positive, engaging environment. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for youth development, strong leadership skills, and camp inst4ruction expereince. As the Camp Director, you will oversee all aspects of camp operations, including staffing, scheduling, ensuring safety, organization, and fun while maintaining a focus on educational enrichment and personal growth.
Duties
- Lead the planning, coordination, and execution of all camp activities, ensuring they align with educational goals and safety standards
- Supervise and support camp staff, including training, scheduling, and mentoring.
- Develop and implement program curricula that promote learning, teamwork, and personal development among campers
- Manage daily operations including registration, attendance tracking, health and safety protocols, and emergency procedures
- Foster a welcoming environment that encourages inclusivity, positive behavior, and community building among campers and staff
- Maintain clear communication with parents or guardians regarding camp activities, progress reports, and any concerns
Qualifications
- Proven experience working with students or youth in educational or recreational settings
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate diverse teams of staff and volunteers
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in managing multiple tasks simultaneously
- Effective communication abilities to liaise with parents, staff, and community partners
- Knowledge of safety regulations related to youth programs and outdoor activities
- University experience or familiarity with gymnastics environments is a plus but not mandatory
