Event Security Supervisor - Part-time

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a team of security personnel during events, providing direction, training (as applicable), support, and motivation.
• Collaborate with event organizers to ensure security plans and protocols are implemented.
• Conduct thorough assessments to identify potential security threats and ensure adherence to protocols/ strategies to mitigate risks.
• Oversee guest entry and exit procedures, ensuring appropriate credential checks and event policies.
• Maintain clear communication channels with event staff and security personnel to ensure unified, consistent responses for the entire event.
• Maintain accurate records of incidents, security reports, and performance evaluations of security personnel.
• Promote positive client and guest experience by addressing inquiries and concerns with professionalism and respect.

Qualifications:

• Valid NY State Security Guard License
• Valid F-04
• High School diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of two (6) years of security experience in supervisory role
• Excellent leadership, communication, and conflict resolution skills
• Familiarity with security technologies, equipment, and relevant local laws/ regulations
• Flexible availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays (as dictated by event schedules)

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand for long periods of time (minimum of 8 hours)
• Ability to utilize full range of motion in arms, torso, and legs (as applicable)
• Ability to adequately function in vision, hearing, and touch

Work Environment

The events may be held in an indoor or outdoor venue. Each environment could potentially present unique challenges and security needs, requiring the supervisor to adapt strategies and approaches accordingly.
