Role Description
This is a part-time, on-site role for an Armed Security Officer located in Henrico, VA (23229).
The officer will be responsible for:
- Conducting regular patrols of the premises
- Responding promptly to alarms and disturbances
- Enforcing property rules and regulations
- Maintaining safety and security of visitors, employees, and property
- Assisting in emergency response procedures (evacuations/lockdowns)
- Monitoring and reporting suspicious activities
- Documenting incidents and hourly activity reports via mobile app
A company vehicle is provided when on site.
Schedule
- Saturday — 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM
- Sunday — 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM
- ≈ 16 hours per week (≈ 32 hours every two weeks)
This position requires carrying a firearm while on duty.
Qualifications
✅ Required
- DCJS Armed Security Officer/Courier Card with Firearms Endorsement
- (Do not apply if you do not have firearms endorsement)
- 2 years proven experience as a Security Officer
- Clean driving record and reliable transportation to/from work
- Ability to remain calm and effective in stressful situations
- Excellent observation skills
- Strong communication and customer service abilities
- Able to complete written reports via smartphone app
