What are the responsibilities and job description for the Tissue Culture Technician position at Knight Hollow Nursery?
Knight Hollow Nursery (KHN) is an industry leader in woody plant propagation. We run a small, family owned and operated laboratory in the University Research Park on the West Side of Madison. KHN also has a nursery in Middleton, WI where we root and acclimate our plants from the in-vitro state to small plugs for shipping. This position will be primarily at the Laboratory in Madison.
This position will include working with high value plant species in sterile condition under a laminar flow hood. Subculturing plants, cleaning dishes, working in our rooting room and greenhouse may also be semi- regular duties for this position. We offer a fun, fast, and exciting opportunity for someone who can work well independently and in small groups. A basic knowledge of biology is required. Previous lab experience is a plus. Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
