• The Technical Writer at Knight Federal Solutions Inc is responsible for creating clear, concise, and comprehensive documentation for complex technical information. This role requires a deep understanding of technical concepts and the ability to communicate them effectively to a variety of audiences. The Technical Writer will ensure that all documentation meets the highest standards of quality and accuracy, supporting the organization's mission and objectives. Key Responsibilities:
• Develop, write, and edit technical documentation, including user manuals, training materials, and operational guides, ensuring clarity and accuracy.
• Collaborate with engineers, developers, and other subject matter experts to gather information and understand the technical details necessary for documentation.
• Maintain and update existing documentation to reflect changes in technology, processes, and systems.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant security and confidentiality guidelines, particularly those related to TS/SCI clearance requirements.
• Conduct thorough reviews and revisions of documentation to ensure consistency, completeness, and adherence to company standards.
• Assist in the development of templates and style guides to standardize documentation across the organization.
• Participate in meetings and briefings to stay informed about project developments and updates, integrating new information into documentation as needed.
• Provide expertise and guidance on best practices for technical writing and documentation processes within the organization. Qualifications Required Education:
• A Master's degree Required Experience:
• Must have at least 12 years' experience in technical writing or a related field
• Experience in writing, editing, and managing documentation for complex technical subjects
• Proven track record of working in high-security environments, particularly within government or defense sectors Required Skills and Abilities:
• Must have an active/current TS/SCI clearance and be able to pass a CI Polygraph
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and concisely
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in documentation
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
• Proficiency in using documentation tools and software, such as Adobe FrameMaker, RoboHelp, or similar
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines consistently
