Millwright
Work at various customer sites installing, maintaining, repairing and/or removing industrial machines and equipment using a variety of hand and power tools. Millwright should schedule and prepare for these tasks to reduce and eliminate hazards in advance, ensuring adherence to all safety guidelines. Previous Crane Operator experience/certification is preferred, however, Knight offers in-house training and certifications.
Frequent prolonged travel to remote project locations required.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

- Weld and assemble steel and stainless-steel parts to company standards using a variety of tools and methods.
- Plan, inspect, verify, and document scope of work.
- Move machinery and equipment, using hoists, dollies, rollers, and trucks.
- Assemble and install equipment, such as shafting, conveyors, and crane rails, using hand tools and power tools.
- Construct foundation for machines, using hand tools and building materials, such as wood cement, and steel.
- Align machines and equipment, using hoists, jacks, hand tools, squares, rules, micrometers, lasers, and plumb bobs.
- Assemble machinery to foundation or other structures, using hand tools, power tools and welding equipment.
- Select cables, ropes, chains, pulleys, winches, blocks, and sheaves, according to weight and size of load to be moved.
- Attach load with grappling devices, such as loops, wireropes, and chains, to crane hook.
- Perform all duties associated with crane operation, including inspection, maintenance, and safe operation.
- Set up, brace, and rig hoisting equipment using hand tools and power wrenches.
- Required repair and lubricate machinery and equipment.
