Accounts Receivable Clerk

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Accounts Receivable Clerk to join our dynamic finance team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for managing the company’s incoming payments, ensuring accurate record-keeping, and supporting the overall financial health of the organization.

Responsibilities

• Process and monitor accounts receivable transactions using accounting software such as CDK or similar systems.
• Perform account reconciliation to ensure accuracy of customer accounts and resolve discrepancies efficiently.
• Manage the collection of outstanding payments through effective negotiation and professional phone etiquette.
• Maintain detailed records of all transactions, including journal entries, debits & credits, and account analysis reports.
• Collaborate with other departments on accounts payable, financial analysis, and month-end closing activities to ensure seamless financial operations.
• Strong understanding of financial concepts including double entry bookkeeping, journal entries, account reconciliation, and debits & credits.Familiarity with medical billing processes, CPT coding, ICD-10 coding, and healthcare terminology is a plus.
• Excellent data entry skills with high accuracy; proficiency in 10 key typing is preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to analyze accounts receivable data and perform account analysis efficiently.
• Exceptional negotiation skills combined with professional phone etiquette for effective collections efforts.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team environment in public accounting or governmental accounting settings. Pay: $18.00 per hour
