What are the responsibilities and job description for the MAINTENANCE HELPER - Swing Shift position at Knife River Corporation - NW?
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
- Organize and cleaning of the shop, parts room and yard around the outside of the shop.
- Restock Service PM Truck with oil, filters, and coolant.
- Clean and pressure wash equipment prior to repairs
- Maintain shop equipment and tools
- Pickup/deliver parts as needed.
- Pickup/deliver vehicles to outside vendors for repairs as needed.
- Communicate directly with shop manager daily.
- Help Mechanics with repairs.
- Perform small repairs on trucks and equipment.
- Perform a variety of other tasks as directed.
- Must be willing to learn how to safely operate small forklift to load and unload freight. (Forklift training provided)
Hours 2:30 pm- 12:00 Am. Monday through Friday and occasional overtime as needed.
$3.00 Shift differential
Minimum Qualifications:
Extensive One on One on the Job training will be supplied for this position!
- Valid driver’s license Requires a high school diploma or its equivalent.
- Mechanical aptitude needed to perform work safely and productively
- Some knowledge of the care of and safe operation of trucks and light motor driven equipment is a plus
- Must be reliable & dependable and work well with others, including fellow team members and customers
- Valid driver’s license in good standing required
