Responsibilities
- Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance on building systems, including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical equipment.
- Perform repairs using welding techniques, electrical troubleshooting with schematics, and mechanical knowledge to resolve issues efficiently.
- Operate programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and ohmmeters to diagnose and troubleshoot electrical circuits and automation systems.
- Support residential painting projects and perform general facilities maintenance tasks to uphold property standards.
- Read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, and maintenance logs to accurately identify issues and implement solutions.
- Utilize Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) to document work orders, track maintenance history, and schedule future tasks.
- Supervise or assist with small teams during maintenance projects, demonstrating leadership skills and ensuring safety protocols are followed.
Experience
- Proven experience in facilities maintenance within residential or manufacturing environments.
- Strong electrical experience with the ability to read schematics and use testing tools such as ohmmeters.
- Skilled in welding techniques and mechanical repairs; familiarity with plumbing, HVAC systems, and general carpentry is preferred.
- Previous supervisory or leadership experience in a maintenance setting is advantageous.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively in English across diverse teams.
- Knowledge of CMMS software for work order management; familiarity with manufacturing or residential painting projects is a plus.
- Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex systems using schematics, electrical diagrams, and technical manuals.
