This is a high-impact leadership role at the centre of our manufacturing network, with the opportunity to shape how materials planning and production scheduling are executed across multiple plants. You will lead a critical function that directly influences service, plant performance and inventory, while working closely with operations and supply planning to keep the network aligned and responsive.
Beyond managing day-to-day MRP and scheduling activity, this role offers the chance to bring greater consistency, visibility and discipline to planning across the organisation. You will lead and develop the team, strengthen standards, improve KPI transparency, and help build a more connected and capable planning function for the future.

Responsibilities
Management
- Oversee the MRP planning team, including central MRP Controllers and associated planning support roles
- Provide ongoing coaching, training and development of team members
- Work closely with Supply Planning, plants and other internal departments to remove obstacles, improve planning effectiveness and ensure clear two-way communication
- Represent the MRP planning function in cross-functional forums and act as a key contact for planning-related topics
- Develop and maintain production scheduling strategies to support maximizing production efficiencies and minimizing material stockouts
- Communicate market fluctuations and planning changes clearly to the team and relevant stakeholders
- Support hands-on production scheduling during peak periods as needed
- Support the development and maintenance of inventory profiles by SKU, location and customer to support service and supply objectives
- Balance customer requirements with scheduling adherence and inventory targets
- Contribute to the improvement and standardization of MRP and production scheduling processes, escalation pathways, and communication routines
- Identify recurring planning issues and drive practical solutions that improve reliability, transparency, and execution discipline
- Maintain MRP data setpoints within the ERP system
- Support effective use and integration of planning and data management tools
- Drive visibility of system and master data issues affecting planning quality and support resolution with the relevant teams
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain, or related field
- APICS certification preferred
- Minimum five (5) years of production and scheduling experience in a similar industry
- Minimum three (3) years of management or supervisory experience
- Knowledge of SAP or similar ERP systems preferred
- Knowledge of financial procedures and processes
- Knowledge of production planning
- Knowledge of inventory control
- Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously with minimal supervision
- Ability to lead and coach others
- Ability to effectively communicate throughout the organization
- Ability to work cross-functionally in a matrix environment
- Ability to travel approximately 5-10% of the time
