WHAT YOU GET TO DO
This position supports the Project Management Organization (PMO), working closely with Project Managers from each Business Unit and several cross-functional teams. The PMO Project Controls Analyst’s data-driven insights and analytical expertise will play a critical role in driving the success of our projects on a global scale. This dynamic position will primarily focus on governance while also encompassing responsibility for ad-hoc project-related assistance, financial management, and performance tracking.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities :
- Collaborate with project managers and cross-functional teams worldwide, presenting data-driven insights to support informed decision-making, serving as a primary point of contact for project analyses, and acting as a liaison between Project Management and Controlling departments across global operations.
- Ensure adherence to our global guidelines and processes, consistency and compliance in reporting and analysis, and accurate and timely execution of processes, in alignment with project goals.
- Guide project managers in understanding and adhering to organizational policies and procedures, while enforcing accurate and up-to-date documentation of project activities.
- Prepare and present comprehensive reports on compliance, governance, and project controls to global stakeholders, utilizing proficiency in tools like Excel and SAP ERP to run detailed data analyses. Proactively follow-up on necessary actions such as workflows, approvals, and milestones.
- Conduct periodic audits of project processes, including financial management, risk and performance analysis, scheduling and timeline tracking, and administrative closeout.
- Support the continuous improvement process through individual and team efforts by contributing new ideas for optimization and innovative solutions that enhance project performance and efficiency, while aligning with our unique needs and global goals.
- Provide ad-hoc project-related assistance, including collaborating with project managers and management to address various requests that arise during project lifecycles, ensuring timely and effective responses to inquiries.
- Ad-hoc/Special tasks, specific to a project or program of projects, may include, but are not limited to: Procure-to-pay (P2P) processes in SAP ERP, Lien Waiver (LevelSet) and Insurance (myCOI) maintenance, Expense Report Approvals, quality gates, preparation for customer workshops or site mobilization.
WHAT YOU HAVE
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Data Science, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- 1 - 3 years experience in data and/or financial analysis, preferably within the warehouse automation or related industry
- Beginner to intermediate understanding of project management, procurement, scheduling, and documentation
- Beginner to intermediate knowledge of project management software tools, methodologies, and best practices
- Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Outlook), particularly Excel
- Beginner to intermediate knowledge of SAP ERP systems and financial modules
- Beginner to intermediate knowledge of data visualization and analytical tools/software (e.g., SQL, Power BI, Tableau)
- Strong understanding of financial forecasting techniques and earned value analysis concepts
- Fluency in German a plus
- Intermediate to advanced organizational, adaptability and structural skills, with strong attention to detail
- Intermediate to advanced interpersonal and communication skills
- Intermediate to advanced problem-solving and analytical abilities
- Self-motivated team player with high integrity
Working Conditions and Environment:
- Overtime as required by work
- Occasional travel required (up to 10%)
