General Description:
Knapheide Truck Equipment Company is the premier work truck equipment, accessory, and commercial upfit provider in the United States, with more than 30 locations across the country. The role of a KTEC Project Manager is to plan, execute, and finalize projects according to strict quality standards, deadlines and within budget while maintaining high levels of safety and customer satisfaction. This includes acquiring resources and coordinating the efforts of team members and subcontractors in order to deliver projects according to plan and budget. The Project Manager will also work closely with the Executive Team to ensure timely and quality completion of projects while remaining aligned with the strategy, commitments and goals of the organization.
The individual in this position will have a combination of regional and enterprise wide responsibilities.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Adheres to Knapheide's Project Execution Process standards as well as providing feedback for future improvements to the program.
- Lead and facilitate large cross functional teams with geographic diversity.
- Work with senior leadership to help plan, prioritize, and coordinate both short-term and long-term project strategy and implementation
- Properly identify, document, and manage project risk issues from Site Managers and/or the customer; provide guidance for issue resolution. Escalate to senior leadership as appropriate.
- Develop project execution plans including definition of scope, communication tools, software tools, deliverable distribution lists.
- Develop and maintain project resource plans and schedule adherence to meet all project milestones and financial commitments.
- Manage the project according to agreed requirements, ensuring that all targets are met, and that relevant guidelines are followed
- Proactively report and present project status to internal and external stakeholders.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, effectively communicating with them and acting as the key contact for the customer(s) internal and external.
- Identify resources and other requirements necessary to successfully implement projects, and provide strategic guidance and direction for effective project delivery
- Coordinate all resource needs including those from internal and external sources
- Establish project budgets, prepare proposals, and develop and maintain positive relationships.
- Monitor project implementation to ensure best practices in terms of costs, resource efficiency, risk management and Health, Safety & Environment (HSE)
- Maintain the documentation of the projects that includes the monitoring of results.
- Occassional travel may be required.
- Other duties as assigned.
Job Qualifications & Experience:
- PMP® certification from Project Management Institute, Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM), or equivalent experience as a project manager.
- Can demonstrate expert knowledge of project management methodology and its practical application towards completing work.
- Ability to think strategically and balance a broad range of internal and external factors when identifying problems, proposing solutions, and making decisions

Education Requirements:
- A bachelor's degree or master's degree in a related field.
Physical Requirements:
- Normal standing, bending, walking and lifting in an office environment.
- Some exposure to various weather conditions at dock area.
- Lifting/moving up to 50 pounds.
Candidates would be able to work from any Knapheide Truck Equipment location throughout the United States.
Salary : $85,000 - $125,000
