What Will You Get To Do:
- Provide advice and counsel to managers and supervisors regarding personnel practices, policy and employment laws
- Create, organize, and maintain employee files
- Ensure a response on behalf of the company on unemployment claims, review liability reports and monitor program costs
- Investigate a variety of Human Resources related issues: EEOC complaints, Wage and Hour, Harassment, ADA, Discrimination, employee disputes, etc. to ensure that effective, legally compliant resolutions are arrived at in a timely manner and within organizational guidelines
- Lead weekly orientation including collaboration with business leaders on content, completion of required forms, and any other coordination details
- Assist with open enrollment process and employee meetings
- Support internal auditing and quality control efforts and customer audits
- Assist in identifying and addressing issues and trends relating to turnover and vacancies
- Assist Total Rewards with the recognition program and partners with Leadership to identify and implement effective retention strategies
- Identify and implement best practices in employee relations through benchmarking, networking, and industry knowledge
- Create an environment for success through good communication and team building
- Help define and track metrics that identify trends relating to turnover, vacancies absenteeism and etc.
- Support employee engagement by conducting exit interviews, observing employee behaviors and assisting in the delivery and analysis of the Employee Engagement Survey process through reporting and manager coaching
- Assist in the design and development of tools to support action planning; support organizational development initiatives on key business and HR initiatives at the departmental and organization level to improve organizational effectiveness and efficiency
- Plan, organize and ensure successful execution of employee events
What Will You Bring:
- Work Experience: 7 years of experience in Human Resources and employee relations in a manufacturing and warehouse environment, must have demonstrated success with Workers Comp., ADA, Unemployment claims
- Education: Bachelors Degree in Human Resources, Industrial/Organization Psychology, or related field
- Computer Skills: Experience with HRIS systems; intermediate skills in Microsoft Office
