What are the responsibilities and job description for the Founding Designer position at Knak Digital?
We're looking for a product-minded designer with a sharp aesthetic eye to elevate our product's visual quality end to end. You'll own product design across web, desktop, and mobile, simplify complex user journeys, and establish the design systems that help us ship fast without sacrificing craft.
What you'll do
Design best-in-class experiences from concept through pixel-perfect execution to help teams get the most out of every meeting.
Deeply understand customer problems and turn complexity into clear, elegant flows.
Establish scalable design systems and reusable components so the team can move quickly without introducing inconsistencies.
Create and refine brand/messaging and marketing assets (ad variants, billboards, merch), plus landing pages and blog layouts.
Partner directly with the founders and cross-functional team to build a product loved and used by thousands every day.
What you'll bring
3 years of end-to-end product design experience (or equivalent), shipping high-quality UI/UX at pace.
Strong aesthetic sensibility paired with systems thinking; proven ability to simplify complex workflows.
Comfort designing across web, desktop, and mobile with familiarity of platform patterns.
Experience as a founding, senior, or lead designer, partnering closely with engineers (and other designers) to craft new features and product changes.
Background in a Seed–Series D or fast-paced, product-led company with strong design standards (e.g., the type featured on startups.gallery).
Track record of creating/maintaining design systems and documentation that scale.
Nice to have
Technical depth and/or hands-on mobile app design experience.
Experience at both larger companies and startups.
