Content Creator + Social Media Manager

About the Role

Knack Digital Marketing is a boutique social media and content strategy agency with over 50 years of combined experience helping small and medium-sized businesses grow their reach, revenue, and online presence. The team is small by design, intentional by nature, and built around doing the work exceptionally well for a select group of clients who trust us with their brand.

This role sits at the intersection of strategy and execution. The right person can shoot and edit a compelling Reel on Tuesday, build a client content calendar on Wednesday, and analyze what actually performed by Friday. This is not a scheduler role. This is a builder role.

What You'll Do

• Shoot, edit, and produce short-form video content for client accounts across Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube, including Reels, YouTube videos, and branded content series
• Travel to client locations for on-site content shoots as needed
• Manage and execute social media strategy for a portfolio of client accounts, including content calendars, caption writing, scheduling, and community management
• Assist with photography for clients and agency content when needed
• Collaborate on strategy development, bringing platform-specific knowledge and data-driven recommendations to the table
• Support the production and repurposing pipeline: turning one YouTube video into clips, carousels, and email teasers
• Track performance metrics and contribute to monthly reporting with a focus on what moved the needle
• Stay ahead of platform changes, trending formats, and what's actually working for small business accounts, not just what's popular

What You Bring

• 3 to 5 years of experience in social media management and content creation, with a portfolio that shows range and results
• Strong video editing skills: comfortable in CapCut, Adobe Premiere, or equivalent tools, and able to produce polished short-form content without a production team behind you
• Photography skills sufficient for brand content and behind-the-scenes production
• Demonstrated understanding of what performs on Instagram and TikTok specifically, with the data to back it up
• Caption and copywriting that sounds like a real person and fits a brand voice
• Ability to manage multiple client accounts simultaneously without letting anything slip
• Reliable transportation and comfort with local travel for client content shoots
• Paid social experience (Meta Ads) is a strong bonus

Hours and Compensation

This is a hybrid position ranging from 23 to 30 hours per week, depending on client volume and shoot schedules. Compensation is competitive and commensurate with experience. $29-35/hour
