A leading financial technology and alternative investment platform is seeking two Vice Presidents to join its National Accounts team. One position will focus on strategically important Registered Investment Advisor relationships, while the second will focus on the Independent Broker-Dealer channel.
These individuals will be responsible for managing and expanding established enterprise relationships, increasing the adoption of alternative investment solutions, and coordinating product placement and distribution initiatives across client home offices and field sales organizations.
The successful candidates will serve as senior relationship managers to some of the firm’s largest wealth management clients. They will work with research, due diligence, product, operational, marketing, and sales stakeholders to navigate product approvals, execute platform rollouts, and increase advisor engagement.
Responsibilities
- Manage and deepen relationships with strategically important RIA or independent broker-dealer clients.
- Develop and execute client-specific business plans designed to increase product adoption, sales penetration, and asset retention.
- Help clients build and expand a menu of alternative investment solutions for their advisors and end investors.
- Navigate investment research, operational due diligence, product approval, onboarding, and placement processes.
- Build trusted relationships with home office executives, research professionals, analysts, operational due diligence teams, product leaders, and other key decision-makers.
- Coordinate the launch and rollout of new products and platform capabilities across internal teams, investment managers, client organizations, and regional sales professionals.
- Partner with field-based sales teams to translate home office relationships and product approvals into advisor engagement and asset growth.
- Maintain ongoing alignment with internal research teams and external investment managers regarding product pipelines, portfolio positioning, placement priorities, and market trends.
- Identify opportunities to expand existing client relationships and increase utilization of the firm’s investment platform and solutions.
- Create strategic account plans, client SWOT analyses, relationship maps, engagement routines, and sales initiatives for assigned firms.
- Develop presentations, client communications, sales collateral, and educational materials independently or in partnership with marketing.
- Monitor the effectiveness of client business plans and adjust engagement strategies based on performance and market developments.
- Maintain accurate documentation of client interactions, opportunities, and relationship activity within Salesforce.
- Represent the organization at client meetings, conferences, due diligence sessions, and industry events.
- Travel as needed to support key client relationships and business development initiatives.
Qualifications
- Approximately 8–15 years of experience in national accounts, home office coverage, intermediary distribution, platform relationship management, or a related function.
- Demonstrated experience working with Registered Investment Advisors, independent broker-dealers, banks, wirehouses, custodians, or wealth management platforms.
- Experience placing or supporting complex investment products through large intermediary organizations.
- Knowledge of how investment products move through research, due diligence, operational review, approval, onboarding, and distribution processes.
- Working knowledge of alternative investment products and asset classes, including private equity, private credit, real assets, hedge funds, or structured investment solutions.
- Established relationships with home office research, product, due diligence, platform, or distribution professionals are highly desirable.
- Strong consultative sales and strategic relationship management capabilities.
- Ability to influence senior stakeholders, bridge competing priorities, and build consensus across complex organizations.
- Strong analytical, organizational, marketing, and business-planning skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present effectively to senior executives, research teams, and sales organizations.
- Ability to manage multiple time-sensitive initiatives while maintaining a high level of client service.
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Series 7 and Series 63 licenses required.
- Willingness to travel up to approximately 50%.
Salary : $160,000 - $200,000
