About the Role
KN Excavation is seeking an experienced Pipe Foreman to lead a crew installing main line storm, sanitary sewer, and water systems. This role is hands-on, fast-paced, and requires strong leadership, planning, and problem-solving skills. You’ll work closely with project managers, operators, and laborers to ensure high-quality installation and safe, efficient job-site operations.
Responsibilities
- Lead a pipe crew on installation of main line storm, sewer, and water utilities.
- Read and interpret plans, grades, and blueprints.
- Set up lasers, check line and grade, and ensure proper trench safety practices.
- Coordinate daily tasks with operators, laborers, and subcontractors.
- Ensure all materials, tools, and equipment are onsite and ready.
- Complete daily paperwork, material tracking, and job progress updates.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work zone.
- Communicate clearly with supervisors, inspectors, and project teams.
- Train and mentor crew members as needed.
Qualifications
- 3 years experience installing main line utilities (storm, sanitary, water).
- Prior experience as a Foreman or Lead Pipe Layer.
- Ability to read plans and grade stakes.
- Strong understanding of trench safety and OSHA requirements.
- Ability to run a small crew efficiently.
- Valid driver’s license (CDL preferred but not required).
- Reliable, self-motivated, and able to problem-solve in the field.

Pay: $35.00 - $40.00 per hour
