What You'll Do
As our Quality Assurance Technician & Inspector, you'll be the guardian of quality throughout our manufacturing process:
Core Responsibilities:
- Ensure Excellence - Perform proactive inspections and final quality checks to ensure products meet company standards, customer specifications, and regulatory requirements
- Problem Solve - Troubleshoot defects, identify root causes, and recommend practical solutions to prevent recurrence
- Analyze & Report - Create trend charts, analyze quality data, and post KPI results to drive continuous improvement
- Manage Systems - Maintain ISO 9001 compliance, manage the Material Review Board (MRB) process, and ensure proper documentation
- Lead Audits - Conduct internal quality audits and help maintain our quality management system
- Collaborate - Work with production, engineering, and management teams to enhance quality across all operations
Day-to-Day Activities:
- Read and interpret engineering blueprints and technical specifications
- Inspect welding, paint, and assembly operations for conformance
- Use precision measurement tools and advanced inspection equipment
- Maintain calibration schedules and equipment records
- Document inspection results and maintain quality databases
- Create and update work instructions and quality procedures
- Approve outbound products through visual and functional inspections
What We're Looking For
Must-Haves:
- Education: High school diploma or GED (technical school or associate degree in Quality, Manufacturing Technology, or related field strongly preferred)
- Experience: 1-2 years in quality control, inspection, or manufacturing environment
- Technical Skills: Ability to read blueprints and engineering drawings; proficient in Microsoft Office (especially Excel)
- Quality Knowledge: Familiarity with ISO 9001 or other quality management systems preferred
- Work Style: Extremely organized with exceptional attention to detail; able to work independently and as part of a team
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Safety-Minded: Commitment to following all safety protocols and wearing required PPE
Bonus Points For:
- ASQ certifications (CQI, CQA, or working toward certification)
- Experience with quality management software or ERP systems
- Knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing)
- Statistical Process Control (SPC) training
- Previous experience with precision measurement tools
