Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site position for a Recertification Specialist located in Chicago, IL. The Recertification Specialist will be responsible for conducting recertification of tenant files, ensuring compliance with housing regulations, assisting with tenant communication, and maintaining accurate records. Additional duties include providing administrative support, resolving tenant inquiries, and collaborating with property management staff to uphold compliance standards.
Qualifications
- Experience with tenant recertification processes, compliance with housing regulations, and knowledge of tax credit/rural development housing policies.
- Proven skills in organization, time management, and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to assist tenants and work effectively with property management teams.
- A working knowledge of property management software and proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Ability to work on-site in a dynamic environment and manage confidential information with integrity.
- Prior experience in property management or a related field is beneficial.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Social Work, or a relevant field is preferred, though equivalent work experience will be considered.
