Role Description
This is an on-site role for a Business Development Representative based in Milwaukee, WI. As a Business Development Representative, you will be responsible for generating leads, building relationships with potential clients, conducting inside sales activities, and supporting the sales team to achieve business development goals. You’ll own new-client acquisition: identify prospects, open conversations, and build a pipeline of local businesses that need reliable IT. This is a 360° early-stage sales role with real ownership and uncapped commission upside. You’ll work directly with the founder, who handles technical scoping and closing support. Additionally, you will assist in identifying opportunities for growth and work closely with the team to craft sales strategies.
Qualifications
- Skills in Inside Sales and Sales, with a focus on achieving targets and driving revenue
- Experience in Lead Generation and Business Development, including identifying new opportunities and prospecting
- Excellent Communication skills to effectively interact with clients and collaborate with team members
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field
- A proactive and results-driven mindset
What You'll Do
• Prospect and generate leads through outbound calls, email, and LinkedIn
• Attend local networking events, chamber meetings, and industry meetups
• Qualify prospects and book discovery meetings
• Build and maintain an accurate pipeline in our CRM
• Partner with technical leadership to shape proposals and scopes
• Nurture relationships toward long-term recurring service contracts
What We're Looking For
• 2 years of B2B sales or business development experience (IT / MSP / technology a strong plus)
• Comfortable with cold outreach and self-directed prospecting
• Able to translate technical services into clear business value
• Familiarity with managed IT, cybersecurity, or cloud is a bonus, not a requirement
• Self-starter who thrives without micromanagement
• Based in or near Milwaukee with a local professional network
