Vice President of Finance
South Portland, Maine
TruChoice Federal Credit Union is seeking a Vice President of Finance. This role reports to the CFO and provides strategic financial insight, leads the Finance and Accounting functions, and supports strong financial stewardship across the credit union.
Requirements of the Vice President of Finance:
- 5-10 years of financial leadership experience, including overseeing financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and investment activities.
- Bachelor's degree in business administration or finance
- Experience collaborating with CFO on creating and executing strategic financial plans and objectives.
- Experience creating and delivering presentations to the Board of Directors, community leaders, and business leaders.
- Prior experience working for a financial institution is highly preferred

Responsibilities of the Vice President of Finance:
- Champion the cultural values of the organization, sets direction and oversees coaching and performance of departments and makes hiring decisions.
- Oversee financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and investment activities, and contributes to asset liability management.
- Supervise the Accounting Manager, ALM Specialist, BSA Officer and collaborate closely with IT to ensure financial alignment with organizational goals.
- Collaborate with CFO and CEO to identify and manage resources needed to drive the execution of strategic plans.
- Participate in senior team (STeam), volunteer committees and Board meetings.
- Actively seek leadership opportunities and cultivate relationships with key constituents, community organizations, vendors and industry partners.
- Cultivate an active external network to stay on top of best practices and industry trends.
- Oversight of assigned departments, ensuring achievement of performance goals.
