Assistant Project Manager
Penobscot General Contractors
Falmouth or Bangor, ME
We are working with our client, Penobscot General Contractors, in seeking an Assistant Project Manager to join our team, based out of either our Falmouth or Bangor office. This role is working with the Project Manager on projects from preconstruction through closeout, ensuring successful delivery aligned with project goals, budget, schedule, and a strong commitment to safety.
Qualifications:
- 1-3 years’ experience within the construction field in project management or similar
- Ability to negotiate with subcontractors and suppliers
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Ability to solve problems
- Must have proficiency in Microsoft Office, Scheduling software and knowledge of Procore
- Knowledge and understanding of construction methods, materials, requisitions, changes and sequences
- Knowledge of industry safety standards
Key Responsibilities:
- RFI’s, submittals, preparing schedules, change orders
- Attending construction meetings
- Quality control
- Interaction with subcontractors, suppliers, design professionals
- Other duties as directed by PM and/or management team
