Mental Health Therapist (Remote – Massachusetts - Pay is based on licensure)

The Role We are seeking skilled, independent, and compassionate clinicians to join our team as Independent Contractors (Fee-for-Service). In this role, you have the autonomy to build your own schedule while receiving the support of an established group practice. We primarily utilize CBT, DBT, ACT, Motivational Interviewing, and Solution-Focused Therapy, and we are looking for clinicians with expertise in these modalities.
Responsibilities
- Clinical Care: Conduct virtual outpatient psychotherapy, including initial screenings, intakes, assessments, and orientations.
- Treatment Planning: Perform comprehensive psychosocial assessments and develop clear, behaviorally oriented treatment plans.
- Therapeutic Intervention: Provide individualized (and/or group) therapy using evidence-based methodologies tailored to the client’s specific needs.
- Documentation: Maintain timely and accurate electronic health records, including progress notes and insurance documentation, in compliance with practice standards.
- Consultation: Utilize psychiatric consultation and clinical intervention when appropriate to ensure the highest quality of care.
- Collaboration: Attend monthly team meetings to foster community and participate in weekly supervision (if applicable to licensure status).
- Compliance: Maintain strict confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA, state legal requirements, and internal policy.
Qualifications
- Licensure: Must hold a valid, unrestricted clinical license to practice in the state of Massachusetts (LICSW, LMHC, or LCSW).
- Experience: * LICSW: 1–5 years of post-licensure experience. (preferred not required)
- LMHC: 3–9 years of post-licensure experience. (preferred not required)
- LCSW: 2–5 years of post-licensure experience. (preferred not required)
- Education: Master’s degree in Social Work or a related clinical mental health field is acceptable if not yet licensed in MA.
- Availability: Minimum of 20 clinical hours per week.
- Technical Skills: Ability to work independently in a remote environment; proficiency in clinical report writing and digital correspondence.
