We are looking for a Night Shift Supervisor to join our team. This position will supervise employees on the night shift from 5:00PM to 3:00AM. Assign tasks, supervise work, and maintain quality standards. Ensure machines operate correctly and meet specifications. Resolve any issues with blueprints and troubleshoot mechanical problems with robotics, lasers, and CNC equipment.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Execute nightly production schedules.
- Supervise night shift personnel to ensure adherence to safety regulations and company protocols.
- Prioritize work orders based on job specifications.
- Provide evaluations of employee performance and suggest appropriate disciplinary measures.
- Operate and troubleshoot machinery to maintain uninterrupted workflow.
- Apply geometric and mathematical principles to determine angles, copes, and hole patterns.
- Address substation steel blueprint issues through troubleshooting.
- Utilize a variety of tools including hand tools, power tools, hoists, cranes, and measuring/testing instruments.
- Visually inspect and test machinery and equipment.
- Assist with material movement to facilitate the production process.
- Fulfill any additional duties as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS and ABILITIES
Education
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, construction engineering, production engineering or equivalent experience.
Experience
- Experience in heavy industrial manufacturing machinery.
- Lead or supervisory experience preferred.
Other Qualifications and Requirements
- Demonstrate ability to read and interpret blueprints.
- Bilingual (Spanish, English)
